Daniel and Weynshad Habte have been ministered and planted churches for 15 years in places as diverse as Sudan ,Amman, Jordan, Baghdad-Iraq , Istanbul-Turkey and Kansas City ,Missouri . While in Istanbul they believed God was calling them to move to the United States. Actually, they felt he was sending them to the U.S. to reach a large community for the Lord. To their surprise, they were resettled in Amarillo, which is not a big city. After only two months in Amarillo, an opportunity opened for them to spend time of rest and prayer in Kansas City. They spent a year in that larger city, but God kept Texas on their hearts. Fully convinced they should return to Amarillo Texas the city they were first sent to, Daniel says that "we saw the need of the gospel for the lost" in communities and among peoples they had overlooked before.

In April of 2014 the Habtes planted Kingdom Gospel Church, sponsored by Paramount Baptist Church. They are focusing their relationship and evangelistic efforts on people from Ethiopia ,Eritrea and people from Middle East ,which is generally people who speak Amharic, Tigrinya and Arabic .This is what they were sent to – to serve the city of Amarillo and Texas generally , it`s increasingly diverse population. But, there is more! Daniel is also passionate about reaching Muslims all over the United States to reach the lost from these people groups.
